Mile by Mile
The Mile by Mile promotion is a way for YOU to get directly involved with my photographic journey across the Great American West, encompassing nine states, 72 hours of total driving time and more than 4000 miles of beautiful road. I'd love your assistance with this trip. As a college student and burgeoning photographer, I need a bit of help to build my portfolio and embark on this awesome experience.
What is the Mile by Mile Project?
It's really simple. Each mile of the 4000+ road trip will be sold off at a price of $5 per mile. Each mile is treated like a point, and each mile you buy results in a beautiful print from the trip, delivered straight from my lens to you. Well here's what your miles can get you:
1 Mile gets you a 4" x 6" postcard print
5 Miles gets you a 8" x 12" print
10 Miles gets you a 12" x 18" print
20 Miles gets you a 16" x 24" print
50 Miles gets you a 24" x 36" print
Additionally, you have the option of choosing which state your miles will correlate with If you choose, say, miles #3450-3533, you'll receive a print from beautiful Idaho (see the below map).
Where are you driving?
I'll be visiting the Grand Canyon, Death Valley, the Mojave, Crater Lake, Arches, Canyonlands, Monument Valley, Yellowstone, Yosemite, the Grand Tetons and other landmarks. But, the most important portion of the road trip will be the pictures taken in between. The route is outlined in the map below.
When does the project begin?
Well, realistically, the project has already started. People are already donating miles and promoting the project. The trip starts August 25th or 26th and will last about three weeks. I'll be taking a pit stop for a few days in Colorado and I'll try to get caught up on the editing from the first half of the trip.
Can I follow you on your trip?
Of course! I'll be tweeting, blogging and posting updates along the road so there are numerous ways you can keep up to date with my trip (check out the "Follow Me" link for more). The best ways are to:

Where can I see your pictures?
I've set up a Mile by Mile Gallery up just for this project. You can go there and see the images that I have uploaded so far and look at the images you could be getting prints of (that is if you donate!).
How do I donate?
It's actually quite simple really. Click the Paypal button below that says "Donate" You will be able to type in the mile or mile range you wish to donate your miles to, if interested.

How can I help (or win free prints)?
